Types of rubber materials

This section introduces the main types of rubber supplied by Okayasu Rubber.
We mainly produce synthetic rubber.
Among these, EPDM, which has excellent weather and chemical resistance and a good cost balance, is widely used in automobiles and other applications, and we also produce a large number of EPDM products.
Outdoor-use products may require weather and ozone resistance, therefore, materials are selected to suit the application.

Caracteristic

EPDM

• Excellent weather and chemical resistance.
• Widely used in piping fixing rubber, gaskets, automotive exterior parts, household appliance parts, etc.

CR

• Excellent abrasion resistance.
• Widely used for its good balance but high cost.
• It is also used in various ways as flame-retardant rubber in flame-retardant compounds.

NBR

• Excellent abrasion and oil resistance.
• Used for fuel-related rubber parts, anti-vibration rubber, etc.

Si

• Excellent heat resistance and hygiene.
• Used for pot grips, food gaskets, medical rubber parts, etc.
• It is also used in various ways as flame-retardant rubber in flame-retardant compounds.
